This excerpt was just a tad bit convicting, as well.
From the chapter "No Need to Count" in Loving the Little Years by Rachel Jankovic:
"I think it is quite easy for mothers to be tallying up their awake moments in the night so they can be certain just how much they gave. 'I was up for thirty-five minutes at 3:00 a.m., and then he woke up at 4:00 a.m. for another forty minutes! So, basically, I didn't sleep at all last night.' Honestly though, who really needed to know how much they were up? You were just up when you needed to be." -p. 89
